I'm more than just an optionRefuse to be forgotten - - - - - - - - Hey, Hey Hey! Penn straightened his shirt and combed his fingers through his hair. He pushed through the doors of the pizzeria, and smiled as tantalizing smells assulted his nose. They certainly knew how to make somebody want to buy. He approached the counter, and smiled at the girl who was poised behind the cash register. "How may I help you today?" She asked him cheerfully. "I need nine large pizzas to go.. With everything you've got on them." He smiled charmingly. His boys had decided to have a night to just chill. They liked to do that at least once a month. They ordered pizzas, and drank only beer. They each brought games for the video gaming systems. It was Penn's turn to foot the bill for the food, and he wasn't going to spare any expense. His guys deserved it. "How long will the wait be?" He inquired softly. If there was enough time, he would go get the things for nachos. He knew that his order was large, so he had stopped by with pleanty of time to spare before the guys were to show up. He sank down in the plush couch that sat near the counter to wait it out. He could always just go after. The girl had said that she had no idea when his pizzas would be done. He didn't want to risk it. It wouldn't really be worth it. He hummed quietly as he took his phone out of his pocket, thumbing a message to Adam. Adam was one of his best friends, and they were throwing the party at his place. He had a nice apartment, where nobody would be bothered. Usually the rule was no girls, but Penn kind of wanted to mix things up. He had thought about inviting some of the sorority girls, but had vetoed the idea just as quickly. They were too unpredictable. Plus, he was planning a mixer with Kat a Jade already. The boys needed some time to get together without all of that drama. He uncapped the coke and took a swig. It would have been better with rum in it, but he wasn't going to complain. Drinking wouldn't start until later tonight. They all had to get together and do the dumb speech. Every time they had an official meeting, Penn had to appoint somebody to be the Speaker. He usually opened the session with some innuendos, and some dry jokes. This time he had chosen to make the speech himself. He wanted it to be meaningful. He wanted the guys to really bond under his leadership, so that after college they could all lean on eachother when times got hard. It was part of what brothers were supposed to do. It was what they already did at parties every night. They set eachother up, and when they got shot down, they were there to pick eachother up and go again. Lots of people believed that they were good for nothing, but he knew the truth. They were good for each other. - - - - - - - - Notes:Blaaah Words: dunno. YOU'RE VULNERABLE, YOU ARE NOT A ROBOTYOU'RE LOVABLE, SO LOVABLE BUT YOU'RE JUST TROUBLED Practice had gone far too long for Lindsey’s liking. It was far past dinner time and if she went back to the sorority house there wouldn’t be any food left, even she knew that. That meant she would have to find something to eat before arriving back home. But where could she go? At this point there were plenty of options but she was feeling pretty lazy. Soccer practice had drained her. The coach had felt the need to run them all over the field for three hours just for the fun of it. Too bad Lindsey didn’t find it very fun. Either way she knew it was making her better so she just stuck with it. Most of the freshman would quit just from the hard practices. Weeding out the weak players was important, she understood that.
As she walked along the streets it felt nice out. Though wearing shorts and a t-shirt probably helped. She felt there was no need to get changed after practice and just ruin the clothes that she had been wearing before. It made sense to her at least. A small breeze started up and Lindsey picked up the smell of some pizza. That sounded so delicious right now. Where exactly was it coming from? That’s when she saw the pizza sign, obviously she just didn’t look around enough. She shifted the sports duffle bag she had on her shoulder before walking in. It smelt so good! The place had to be one of those family businesses or something, not like one of those places that was so corporate it tasted nasty.
”Hi there.” she grinned while greeting the worker, ”Can I just get a large pizza, extra cheese, meat lovers, with stuffed crust?” The girl working just nodded her head before ringing up the total. Lindsey reached into her duffle bag and grabbed her wallet only to hand over some cash to pay for the pizza. The girl said it would be a little bit because a big order had come in. ”That’s fine. I’ll just wait then.” Lindsey said. She wasn’t in any sort of rush. After she slid her wallet back into her duffle bag she spotted the couch where a guy was all ready waiting. It looked a lot more comfortable than just sitting in one of the wooden seats as if she was eating in the restaurant. Lindsey walked over and asked, ”Mind if I sit by you?” She didn’t exactly wait for an answer though and sat down on the couch. It wasn’t as if she was trying to be rude, but she didn’t think there would be any sort of objection to her sitting down. ”Are you the one who placed a large order?” she questioned as she slipped her duffle bag off and put it on the floor by her feet.

I'm more than just an optionRefuse to be forgotten - - - - - - - - Hey, Hey Hey! Penn had been sitting for a few minutes before he begun to get restless. He wasn't the kind of guy who enjoyed waiting, or even tolerated it. He began strumming his fingers on his knee, and studying every single person who passed by the window outside. There was a mother with her twin boys. He wondered if they were as mischevious as he had been as a boy. He was willing to bet that they were even more rotten than he had been. They would grow up nicely, though. It looked as if their mother cared. He smiled wistfully. His mother was far too busy with business to have much to do with him, unless she was picking up the house. They had refused to pay somebody to do it for them. His mother believed that it was bad to give somebody access to your dirty laundry. You never knew what they would sell it for. He scanned the faces of a brunette couple that strolled past. They looked so happy and in love. It made him wonder if what he felt about love was untrue, but he knew that it wasn't. There was no such thing. A blonde woman started to walk past, but then entered the shop. He felt his eyes widen. She was entirely too beautiful for her own good, even in shorts and a t-shirt. He observed her quietly as she ordered. He felt guilty and looked away as the counter-girl told her about the wait. He was inconvinencing the blonde. When she sat down and spoke to him he was surprised. He even jumped a little bit. "I-yeah. Go ahead." He smiled at her. "It's pizza night. The boys can definitely eat more than nine pizzas, but they should do for a while," He chuckled. It wouldn't take them very long to go through the pizza, and they would probably order more, but it would be from a pizza hut. Pizza hut pizza was never as good as it was here. "Sorry, probably messed up your plans for the day." He flipped his hair out of his eyes, and cut his gaze to her again. She seemed like such a happy person. It was almost as if she had the sun inside of her, and she was shining on everybody. "I haven't seen you around before." He told her. He certainly would remember if he had ever seen her face before. He was willing to bet that it was because all he did was party. He wasn't sure if she was that kind of girl. Once glance wouldn't answer for him. "Do you go to the university?" He bit his lip. Having her sit beside him was making him nervous. He had always had a thing for blondes, but this one was different. She seemed smarter than the ditzy ones who always surrounded him. It made him feel guilty for taking any other blonde. It made them seem cheap, or fake. - - - - - - - - Notes:Blaaah Words: dunno. YOU'RE VULNERABLE, YOU ARE NOT A ROBOTYOU'RE LOVABLE, SO LOVABLE BUT YOU'RE JUST TROUBLED ”A pizza night sounds like fun.” Lindsey grinned. It was something with a whole bunch of friends so how could it not be fun? She would probably end up eating her large pizza alone at the house but she didn’t mind so much. There weren’t exactly any parties going on that night so it wasn’t as if she would really be missing out. If she wanted to there was something she could find to do for a bit of excitement but again, soccer practice had made her a bit lazy. ”Don’t be sorry, you haven’t messed up any plans of mine. Soccer practice is what ruined any plans I had.” she admitted. That was the truth. For some reason she found it cute that the guy sitting next to her apologized for her having to wait. Most of the guys she knew would probably just act like it was her fault for not arriving before them and tell her to suck it up.
She was on the same page as the guy when it came to not seeing him around before. ”Yeah, I do go to the university. I take it you do as well?” she asked. Either he did or she just looked like a university student, though sometimes people thought she was younger. That worked out sometimes though since she didn’t mind looking younger than she was. ”Anyways I’m Lindsey, Lindsey Alister. Who might you be?” she questioned. It seemed a little rude that she hadn’t introduced herself immediately at first but now seemed to be just the right time.
Lindsey was glad that she decided to sit on the couch because for starters it was more comfortable than any wooden seat could be and now she was having a conversation with this guy who sat next to her. He seemed like a nice guy so she didn’t mind so much. Maybe they would end up seeing each other again sometimes. That was bound to happen eventually in Jersey City, even she knew that. It had been her home for ages but she still continued to meet new people on a day to day basis, which was nice.

I'm more than just an optionRefuse to be forgotten - - - - - - - - Hey, Hey Hey! "They usually are," He agreed dryly. He wondered why he was having second thoughts about this one. He was getting bored with the partying daily. It just wasn't new. "Soccer?" He tilted his head to the right. Her legs were very nice, and he could guess that soccer would only help them. He was still surprised at it, though. She looked too pretty to be a sporty girl, at first glance. She looked as if she might break. The thought made him feel slightly protective of her. "What position in soccer do you play?" He asked. He wanted to keep the conversation up. She was definitely one of the most beautiful women he had ever met. Her voice was even pretty. "Yes" He answered her question. "I'm Penn Wentworth. I'm going to be a lawyer." He flashed her his brightest smile. He knew that his reputation preceeded him. He was a notorious player. There probably wasn't a girl around who hadn't heard some of the stories. His smile turned uneasy. He wondered if she would take all of the rumors at face value. It worried him a little bit. He felt strangely nervous, and could feel his palms begin to get sweaty. "It's nice to meet you," He took her hand and pressed his lips to it. It was purely an impulse, and he hadn't once thought about how she would react. Feeling himself begin to blush, he dropped her hand and looked around. He knew that he had probably just complicated things. He had probably lived up to his image as a womanizer, and it made him want to curse. He kept himself in check and lowered his gaze to his hands. "What are you going to school for?" He finally asked. He was relatively new to Jersey City, and wondered if women this beautiful walked around here every day. He had seen the frat girls and the girls who frequented the bars and strip clubs, but this girl was a whole new class unto herself. - - - - - - - - Notes:sorry, it fails! Words: dunno. YOU'RE VULNERABLE, YOU ARE NOT A ROBOTYOU'RE LOVABLE, SO LOVABLE BUT YOU'RE JUST TROUBLED ”You sound as if this pizza party won’t be as fun.” Lindsey frowned a bit. To her the guy had seemed a bit excited about the party and for one that required so many pizzas she assumed it would be fun. She couldn’t help but grin a little when he questioned about her playing soccer. Was it so hard to believe that a girl could be sporty? That was probably her downfall though. Everyone assumed that because she was a girl she couldn’t play a sport. That was the stereotype that she constantly had to fight but she felt she did a pretty good job of doing so. ”Yep, I play soccer and a few other sports.” she answered, ”I am usually the center forward or striker. It all depends on what the coach feels I should play the most, even though they are basically the same to me. As long as I score a goal I'm happy.” At least she was an offensive position because to her defensive positions were a little dull. She loved to be in on all the action and loved some of the glory too.
Penn. That name sounded a bit familiar. Wasn’t he in charge of one of the fraternity houses? That would help make sense for the reason of all of the pizzas he was buying. Lindsey couldn’t help but blush a little when he took her hand and kissed it. Was that what he always did when he met someone new? ”It’s nice to meet you too Penn.” she smiled, ”I think I’ve heard of you before. Aren’t you in charge of one of the fraternities?” Since she was in a sorority herself most of the girls she lived with loved to discuss the fraternities and what cute boys they had. There were rumors sure but she didn’t pay attention to those. That’s what some people thrived on but she had better things to do than base things off of assumptions.
”Well it probably isn’t as awesome as being a lawyer but I’m going into business management. My dad has been a CEO his whole life and I used to intern with him for the summers during high school and I fell in love with it.” she answered, ”I figure that’s a lot better than being a drop out anyways. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.” That probably sounded rude but she hoped she had saved herself a bit. Lindsey didn’t want to end up like her mother, marrying a rich man without even having some schooling behind her. Then again Lindsey didn’t plan on becoming a cheater either. She shook her head a bit to rid herself of the thoughts of her mother. This wasn’t the time or place to worry about her. ”So what made you want to become a lawyer?” she asked.

I'm more than just an optionRefuse to be forgotten - - - - - - - - Hey, Hey Hey! "No, I'm sure it will be fun." He answered her quickly. "It's just sure to be mindless drunkenness. All of the 'wow, haha so stupid it's funny,' stuff." He explained. In his book, there wasn't anything wrong with it. He was just depressed. If he let it, the night would help him, it really would. He just wasn't sure that he was in the mood to enjoy it. "Oh, what other sports?" He was even more surprised. He had figured that she would've been on offense, and he wasn't dissapointed. She looked like a girl who knew how to go after what she wanted. He admired that in a woman. "I'm sorry.. What is a striker?" His brow furrowed. He hadn't really followed soccer that closely. All of the offensive posistions were the same to him. He shook the hair out of his eyes again. It was getting a bit too long, and it bothered his sight. He had figured that it was almost time to get it cut. He wondered if he should let Kat do it. She might do something weird and abstract, though. He could feel the smile forming at the thought. His eyes followed her blush lazily. He absolutely loved it when a girl blushed. It was one of his favorite things in the world. He felt that it made life worth living for to make a lady blush. He scratched his neck guiltily. "Yes. Zeta Aplha Rho is mine." He smiled fondly. "They are a bit crazy, but they are a good group of guys." He told her. "I am proud to call them my brothers." He offered. Really, none of his guys were too terrible. There were a few who were a little bit out of control, but the others cancelled them out. For the most part, they followed the rules that he had. He supposed that he was a bit of a killjoy, but they could do their drugs anywhere else besides the frat house. He didn't mind if they came to the frat house high, just so they left the offending things wherever they had found them. The frat house was supposed to be a safe haven. He wouldn't have it taken away from them for something as stupid as a bit of marijuana. "Business management.." He looked at her again. He wouldn't have pegged her for one of the overzealous corporate junkies, either. All of his steriotypes were being shot to hell. "What is wrong with being a CEO?" He asked her. She acted like her field was smaller than his, but in reality it was probably bigger. His profession was based on the bad things that mankind did, while hers was based on the goods that mankind could offer. "As a kid, I wanted to fight for people's rights. I felt that if I could help the underdog, it would make my life worth living.." He trailed off. "My father kind of took away my noble reasoning." He laughed. He didn't think that being a lawyer was exactly noble, but it was better than some other jobs. "He always pointed out the money that could be made. He pushed for me to try to get a partnership at a large firm." He grimaced. "I don't especially want that.. But my father's wishes come before my own, since he is paying my way through school." He was lost in thought for a few minutes. - - - - - - - - Notes:Blaaah Words: dunno. Lyrics: Find your love- Drake Credits: Banner by Danasaur @ caution 2.0. Thread thing Made by moi.

YOU'RE VULNERABLE, YOU ARE NOT A ROBOTYOU'RE LOVABLE, SO LOVABLE BUT YOU'RE JUST TROUBLED Lindsey grinned at the thought of drinking. ”Drinking always does make things more fun and interesting. I guess there was a purpose for it being created.” she said. She loved to take a few drinks herself but wasn’t exactly an alcoholic. There were far too many times where she saw people act so mindless and do things they claimed they would never do in their life. That wasn’t something she wanted to do, lose herself to something for no reason. ”Well I run hurdles in track and field and then I play a little basketball. If you name any other sport I’ve probably played it.” she smiled. That was the truth. Lindsey was always up for trying new things. That’s probably why she could find a way to make friends with just about anyone. ”Don’t be sorry.” she giggled, ”A striker is usually the person who gets the ball near the goal and makes that game winning shot. Their job is to basically score all the goals.” Most people would have cracked under that sort of pressure but she loved it. ”Need a bobby pin for your hair?” she teased as Penn shook his hair out of his face.
”The party frat then. I’m sure it does get crazy.” she mused. The party houses were usually a bit of a riot just because of the members. But there wasn’t anything wrong with that. ”Brothers huh? That’s nice. They must be a good group of guys then.” As for the ‘sisters’ she had in her house Lindsey wouldn’t claim them as her real sisters. More of just friends seemed to fit the bill better. That was only because more than half of them didn’t know a whole lot about her. Sometimes she thought it was best to keep her secrets to herself than share it with a bunch of girls who would probably love to gossip about her. Even though she thought the best of people she had learned what she could share and what she couldn’t. ”Do you have any real brothers or siblings outside of the fraternity?” she asked. Since she was an only child she never had any siblings to deal with, which was both a blessing and a curse.
She shook her head as she answered, ”There’s nothing wrong with being a CEO. I know I’m going to love it but it’s going to be a dog eat dog sort of world. Especially since I’m a woman. That means I’ll either be thought of as the worker who slept her way to the top or that I had all the right connections. This was only made obvious to her during her internships. Being an intern was like being a fly on the wall since all the big shots didn’t pay much attention to someone so lowly. ”Aww. Kind of like being a super hero then, helping out those that need the help.” she beamed, ”Well, don’t let your father’s thoughts ruin your own noble reasoning. Sure there is plenty of money involved but do as you want and help the underdog. Maybe that partnership will help you start your own firm or something. As for doing what your dad wants you don’t just have to keep him happy but keep yourself happy too.” Her own father was footing the bill for her education but he wasn’t pressuring her into any sort of degree or telling her what to do.

"A woman after my own heart!" He exclaimed, chuckling. "Actually, I believe it was used mainly for medicinal purposes back in the day." He offered her a wink. "Hurdles? Do you ever miss?" He winced. "Do you golf?" He asked, hoping for a serious face. He couldn't even begin to take golfers seriously. "Ah, so you ARE the agressive type." He grinned triumphiantly. He had finally gotten her pegged correctly. "Do you have one?" He glanced at her sideways. He couldn't imagine using a bobby pin, but if she pinned if for him he would let it stay.
"Yes. It's one of our bonding nights." Penn explained. "We do it at least once a month. Other nights we party with others, have mixers, and that sort of thing." The guys never usually took a day off. Most of them were single, and just looking for the next one night stand. A few of them had been set up with some girls and had stuck with them. They still partied on occasion, but they had definitely calmed down. The other guys gave them hell for it, but they couldn't blame them. They would undoubtedly do the same if the snagged a girl who played all of the right cards. "Are you in a sorrority?" He regarded her curiously. He was sure it wasn't the party girl one, because most of them would be falling out of the couch right now at the chance to talk to him. Of course, there were those that were actually cool with him. Kat, Jade, and Andrea didn't get on his nerves, but the rest of Jade's girls did. Most of them had tried out their charms on him at one time or another. He usually shot them down quickly. "I'm an only child." He offered. "It's probably a good thing. Not many other kids would be able to put up with my home." He was a pessimist when it came down to his life at home.
"It's a good thing that you're aggressive, then." He studied her face. "Those who really matter will know that it was your winning personality, and stunning intelligence that got you to the top, and not the other things. Those that have to resort to sleeping their way up the ladder usually misstep somewhere. They don't stay long." Penn commented. It wasn't as if he knew these things for sure, but he knew what he had heard. "A superhero?" He snorted. "I'm no such thing." He frowned. "I'm not even a good role model. Who would want their kid to wind up like me?" He was full of doubts about himself. "You're saying that I should start out as a partner?" He asked for clarification. "My only problem with doing that is that is how it would reflect back on me.." He rubbed the side of his face in thought. "It would have to be a firm related to the type of things I want to do." He reasoned.

YOU'RE VULNERABLE, YOU ARE NOT A ROBOTYOU'RE LOVABLE, SO LOVABLE BUT YOU'RE JUST TROUBLED Lindsey just smiled, ”Well for some it is quite a good medicine still but other times it causes the need for some medicine.” Sure there were the alcoholics who caused their organs to fail later in life or there was just the need for some aspirin or strange concoction to get rid of a hangover. Hangovers were the absolute worse. Maybe that was why she wasn’t an avid drinker. Also because of the way people changed. Not a very good thing. She laughed a little at the missing a hurdle comment. ”You can’t exactly miss a hurdle, but you can fall over a hurdle. I’ve done that once or twice.” she admitted ”But I always got back up to win the race. I can golf, but I don’t prefer to play. I don’t find it that interesting to be honest.” Golf was such a boring sport to her. Swing the club, hit the ball, aim for the hole. Repeat that another hundred times to go through eighteen rounds. ”I’m not that aggressive, more competitive.” she grinned, ”And I do actually, if you want it.” Reaching into her bag so opened one of the side pockets that held all of her smaller items like her phone, some ponytail holders, and bobby pins. She pulled one out and held it in front of herself to show that she did in fact have it.
”Bonding nights. Well pizza sounds like a good bonding night to me. I only get to hear everyone gossip or cry over some romance movie.” she shrugged. Those romance movie nights were the worst for her. It was all so predictable yet everyone was still surprised at every twist and turn and felt the need to cry over the guy not getting the girl at first. ”Yes I am actually. Zeta beta zeta to be exact.” she answered. The sporty sorority as most people called it, but it was fun for her. There was always some sort of friendly competition going on or even some bets. The way Penn spoke about not many other kids being able to survive at his house didn’t sound good. ”I’m not sure most kids are able to survive at home.” she admitted, ”I was an only child too, but that was a good thing sometimes.” There wasn’t a huge sloppy divorce and there weren’t any other kids that were scarred from what happened, just her.
”Why thank you.” she smiled, ”It’s nice to know not everyone thinks the same way. But how are you so sure I have a winning personality and stunning intelligence?” Really she was just curious as to what his answer would be. ”And why couldn’t you be a super hero? Just about anyone can nowadays, even without the super powers.” Lindsey said, ”The real question is who wouldn’t want their kid to end up like you. You’re the head of your fraternity, you’re going to college, and you’re becoming a lawyer. I’m sure any parent would be proud of that.” She just couldn’t understand why Penn seemed to be so down on himself. To her he seemed to be doing all the right things so far. ”I think so. I doubt you will be well known right after you graduate so if you partner up with someone who is fairly well known that could help you start to make a name for yourself. Just make sure they aren’t some liar who isn’t going to screw you over.” she suggested, ”See, then do that! Go into a partnership with a firm that is going to do what you want to do. It’s your future isn’t it so shouldn’t you have some fun?”

"Ah, self-medication!" Penn mused. He wondered if what he did could be classified as that. He was definitely getting away from pain, so he supposed it could. He reflected on the last part of her sentance. Would he end up needing medication? He aborbed the sound of her laugh. It sounded very lovely, and he wanted her to do it even more. "So you always win the race?" He raised his eyebrow, it was a knee-jerk reaction, and he did it quite frequently. Sometimes he knew that he looked ridiculous, but he just couldn't help it. He didn't want to imagine her falling over a hurdle. It sounded very painful, and he wished he could take that pain for her. It wasn't as if she deserved it. He definitely did. He sighed in relief as she told him her opinion of golf. Penn just didn't respect golfers the way he respected other athletes. There wasn't much activity in golf, and it didn't require as much stamina. It wasn't as taxing. It was a pussy sport. "Well, I don't know how to use them." He looked away from her. He hadn't expected her to actually have a pin, but it didn't matter all that much.
"I would offer to let you come, but it might be a tad awkward for you. Puddle of drool, lots of stares. That whole bit." He joked. Honestly, it was probably closer to the truth than anything, though. If he was a goner for blondes, it was nothing compared to his friends where any girl was concerned. They would stop at nothing to hook up, once they made their minds up. "That's probably the best choice in way of sororitys." He told her. "If you get into the nerdy one, people will never let you live it down. The partiers definitely know how to do just that. Most of the girls have lost more brain cells than they know the number for. All they want is their next hit, shot, or bed buddy." He frowned. He hadn't stopped to think about the fact that if she knew people in these places, he would be trashing them. He really was friends with people in the party sorority, but they acted just how he described. "Of course, They're still my best friends." He smiled. He didn't have a chance being friends with people who weren't like him. So they were as close as he could get. "It was a good thing?" He prodded. He couldn't imagine her growing up in a broken home. She was too perfect.
"Because you've already got me charmed,"He replied lightly. It was true. She was captivating. It was hard to concentrate on anything else. He was starting to hope that his pizzas would take quite a while. He wouldn't mind sitting and waiting as long as she was here too. "Super powers," He mused. "Now that would be fun." He grinned at her. He started blushing as she named his meager accomplishments. "So do you just want to be a professional athlete, then?" He tried to change the subject. "I could come to all of your games." He stuck his tongue out.

YOU'RE VULNERABLE, YOU ARE NOT A ROBOTYOU'RE LOVABLE, SO LOVABLE BUT YOU'RE JUST TROUBLED ”Well I do my best to always win the race. I know I’m not the best in the world because there is always someone who may be a little bit faster or jump a little higher than myself.” Lindsey answered with a smirk, ”But I believe it has been a while since I haven’t won a race.” Yes, she was a competitive girl. That was probably what she loved the most about herself. A little competition always helped her to become better so there was nothing wrong with that. When Penn admitted he didn’t know how to use a bobby pin she couldn’t help but giggle. If he had known how to use a bobby pin she would have been a bit worried. Not many guys that she knew actually did their hair with anything but maybe some styling gel. Others just wore the bed head look. Sometimes she wished her hair was that short so she didn’t have to do anything with it, but then she would look like a boy. ”It’s a good thing that you don’t know how to use one but here, I can help you out if you don’t mind.” she admitted.
”Oh no, I’d hate to intrude on your guys night so don’t worry.” she said, ”Besides I don’t think the puddle of drool or stares would be very comfortable.” That was sweet of Penn to at least think to invite her. She had figured that his sorority was quite a close knit group. That must have been good. ”I don’t think I could have gotten into the nerdy one even if I wanted to.” Lindsey admitted, ”Not to say that I’m stupid or anything but I know I’m not brilliant or anything.” Penn did have a point in the fact that she would probably never be able to live that down for the rest of her life. At least with a sporty sorority she could claim to know plenty of famous athletes. Now that would be a bonus. All of those in the party one probably would end up who knows where. Penn seemed to be on his way even though he was in a party one. ”You’re quite right. At least you come out and say it instead of just smiling and pretending that nothing happens.” she smiled, knowing that he meant well. It was a little too soon to begin even trying to discuss her family with Penn, even though she hadn’t exactly discussed her family with anyone. ”Well my parents went through a divorce. It wasn’t messy or anything but things just go complicated.” she shrugged, as if it were nothing.
At his comment of being charmed she blushed a little. ”Super powers would be very fun. I’d love to have some real ones like flying or super speed but I’ll stick with my athletic abilities for now.” Lindsey said, ”As for going pro I would love to but I’m not sure if that would happen. Odds of me making it are slim so that’s why I’m still in school, but if I had the opportunity to I would go for it.” When he said that he could come to all of her games she laughed, ”Would you be my number one cheerleader and fan?”
